It has been awhile now since Rockstar Games has released something. Taking in sweet sweet barrels full of cash from GTA Online, it was only a matter of time before the focus of their primary cash cow was going to move on over to something new. Teased over the weekend, Rockstar Games changed their logos to a black and red design giving a bit of an indication that whatever was about to happen, it was going to be red in color. And so, today, the rumors mill has finally been confirmed, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been announced and will be available come Fall of 2017. From the press release:
Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game's vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.
"With Red Dead Redemption 2, the team is working hard to push forward our vision for interactive entertainment in a truly living world," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "We hope to deliver players an epic experience that builds upon everything we've learned making games."

Considering this is for the Fall of 2017 and will be released on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, anyone want to take a gander that this will be nicely optimized for the Xbox Scorpio? Also, I don't doubt that the multiplayer invovled is going to be massive, just like GTA Online.
