2K Sports NBA 2K10 Anniversary Ed.

2K Sports announced details about it's 10th Anniversary on NBA 2K(put your number here). With the NBA 2K10: Anniversary Edition coming out, you have some interesting things to look forward too. "To celebrate 10 years of the popular NBA 2K franchise, and the milestone of having sold two million units of NBA® 2K9 worldwide, 2K Sports today announced that the NBA® 2K10: Anniversary Edition is planned for release in North America this fall for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system. Street Figher IV heads to Impulse

So if you and your friends have been dying to throw a console away and use your PC to play against each other in some fight type of game, then your time is here. Street Fighter IV has made it's way to the Impulse network and it's time to download the game in it's full glory for only $39.99. Seems kind of steep, but there is a bit of justification to it. Demigod Version 1.1 Now Out

With a release that some may consider a bit rough by some standards, Demigod has released version 1.1 to help quell some of those complaints you may have had with the game. Before you go downloading v1.1, review the list of major changes made among others:

Custom Games make full use of new Demigod Online system developed by Stardock:

Players who have opened their ports get directly connected.
Players who don’t have opened ports will get connected via a NAT server
Players who still can’t connect will have their games hosted by Stardock servers based in Asia, Europe, or North America depending on player location.

Max Payne 3 - Screenshots

Rockstar released to the masses today a few screenshots of Max Payne 3. They look just as gritty as the first series, but with a more gritty looking Max. Which is probably a good thing to get the storyline and game series into a new realm. Max kind of reminds me of Sam Fisher here.

2K Sports Puts Alex Ovechkin on NHL 2K10

According to the press release, tonight in Las Vegas, there will be a live outdoor motion capture session at Ceasars Palace. Why they are doing this there I haven't a clue, but I would think it's more of a PR thing than anything :)

Brütal Legend sets World Record Today!

"Fans of video game Brütal Legend, starring Jack Black, rocked out this Saturday to smash the world record for most people playing air guitar at one time.

The record, conducted at the Download Festival in Donington Park, saw servants of metal shredding frets and wailing on their axes in an orgy of rock godliness.

440 fans gathered at the EA Hub – a purpose-built gaming trailer allowing members of the public to play a variety of titles from publisher Electronic Arts – and, led by Kerrang FM’s Christian Stevenson, rocked out to the Motörhead classic Ace of Spades. An official adjudicator from the Guinness Book of World Records was on hand to authenticate the attempt, which smashed the previous attempt set in 2008 of 318.

Steveneson said: ‘That was one of the raddest jams I've ever been involved with. The crowd played their air guitars better than Eddie Van Halen! Then they destroyed ’em good and proper. Who cares, right? They can go to the air guitar shop and get another one. Sick to the infinity of sickness! I want a crowd like that at every gig I'm at. Awesometacular – air guitar world records rule!’

Recruited from the festival goers, the air guitar army were rocked out with hardcore favourites The Blackout and celebrity guests. The gnarliest rockers were invited onstage to show off their skills with the South Wales six piece and compete to win a coveted limited-edition Tenacious D electric guitar.

Celebrating Brütal Legend, which hits games consoles this Rocktober 13th in North America and Rocktober 16th in the UK and Europe, the record attempt was inspired by lead character Eddie Riggs, voiced by comedy legend Jack Black. Gametap Thursday folks and that brings to you an updated FREE GAMES list from GameTap as well as the next release for you subscribers out there to look forward to. This week you will want to check out Freelancer, which was originally released in 2003 and is now available again for you to play. The guy who designed this game, Chris Roberts, he is the designer of the Wing Commander series so you know it has to be pretty good.

As for the Free Games this week, be sure to check out the latest addition of Total Overdose. You may want to check out this game and others soon as you'll be seeing some of the old games on the list be removed and 15 new ones added in their place.
